It kicks off on Thursday, June 11 of 2026, at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The tournament will run for 39 days, concluding with the Final on Sunday, July 19 of 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
This is the first edition to feature 48 teams (expanded from 32). The tournament will consist of 104 matches in total. Teams will be divided into 12 groups of four. The top two from each group, plus the eight best third-place finishers, will advance to a new knockout stage: the Round of 32.
The 2026 Games will be played across 11 stadiums in the United States. The confirmed U.S. venues are:

Official jersey launches typically follow a two-wave cycle. Brands are expected to reveal "Home" kits in late 2025/early 2026, with the full "Away" collections dropping in March or April 2026, just ahead of the international friendly window.
